Alki Beach, Seattle, Washington
Alki Beach has a 2.5 mile long walkway and bike path. In the summer it is frequented by beach volleyball players, sun bathers, beachcombers, rollerbladers and bicyclists. Alki Beach is one of the few beaches in the Puget Sound area where you can get sand between your toes.
Alki Beach also offers great dining experience from Mexican and Thai cuisine to sandwiches served at the local deli. There are also coffee shops around the corner where you can sit and enjoy your cup of coffee while sitting in an Adirondack chair as you take in the beautiful view that Puget Sound has to offer.
With the sound of waves in the background, the calming breeze, the kids playing along, the teenagers shopping for the latest fashion at the local shops and the barely there sound of a band playing at the radio station located at the Alki Beach House every summer, Alki Beach is a favorite spot for many.
